Dr. Jinga Oglesby-Brihm, DNP, APRN, NP-C
Jinga completed her Bachelor's of Science in Nursing at the University of Florida and her Master's of Science in Nursing with an Adult Advance Practice Nursing degree from Florida International University. Jinga has over 17 years of experience in the medical field working in areas such as primary care, heart/lung transplant, heart failure, left ventricular assist devices and stem cell transplant.
Jinga enjoys making the house calls experience a memorable one for her patients. When she steps foot into each of their homes, she automatically thinks how she would want her family to be treated during this visit. It is important to her to cultivate an interpersonal relationship with the member, in order to make them feel comfortable enough to share their thoughts and unfold their personal health care practices. Through her work as advanced practice registered nurse, she has exhibited the values of compassion with her members by acknowledging that their feelings about their personal health journey matters.
Yvette Tarver, MSN, APRN, BC-C
Yvette is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with the state of Florida and an active member with the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Yvette has been working in health care for over 30 years starting as registered nurse at Mount Sinai Medical Center where she built strong skill set and had opportunities to build relationships with her patients. Yvette has special training in HIV, Pre-exposure Prophylaxis, Post-exposure Prophylaxis, and primary medicine. She has built a good relationship with her patients by being passionate about the care she provides and believing in listening to her patients.
The desire to develop Champions for Healing, LLC was identified when two Advance Practice Registered Nurses realized the need to improve access to quality care for individuals with lack of or limited insurance coverage, reduced access to transportation, and those who are experiencing financial hardship due to the high deductibles or copays.
Champions for Healing, LLC uses a monthly direct pay, flat fee that may cover 80-90% of the issues for which you will need to seek medical care, including:routine and preventative care; sick visits,HIV/STI management, chronic disease management, and transitional care. We are here to help you to live and healthier life. Our members are not required to sign a long-term contract nor pay an enrollment fee.
